Welcome to Sporting SpiritSporting Spirit was formed in 1998 with the aim of providing the best range of coaching services to runners of all levels. Since then we have helped thousands of runners achieve their goals. We now have over 20 squads across three venues including The Tan, Princes Park-Carlton and Duncan Mackinnon Reserve in Murrumbeena. In addition to group coaching we offer individual programming, run educational seminars and workshops and each year in September hold our very popular ‘Run Wild’ training camp to prepare runners for the Melbourne Marathon and Half Marathon Events. We have a fantastic variety of sessions on our weekly timetable for runners including- long runs, speed work, technique and strength, hills and tempo running. We cater to runners of all abilities from the recreational jogger to the competitive club runner, from 5 & 10k runners to marathoners. We aim to teach runners the importance of balance in training and to enjoy the journey rather than focusing too much on end results. Having said that we do get very good results! There’s nothing wrong with the occasional PB is there?
