If you have a specific goal event that you are training for or simply need help with getting into a routine you are much more likely to be successful if you have a program to follow.
A coach has the expertise which you probably won't have and is likely to be more objective than yourself or your friend/training partner. Careful planning brings about real success. If you are willing to be patient and put in the work almost anything is possible.
Programming for the following events is available: 5-10k, half & full marathons, cross country, track- middle & long distance.
PROGRAM LEVELS FOR SPORTING SPIRIT
CLlCK HERE TO VIEW PROGRAM LEVEL CHARTThe Sporting Spirit Program Level Chart gives a clear overveiw of progressions from a beginner level program through to an advanced level of training. We have created 8 program levels which are defined by acheiving particular targets in weekly mileage, long run distances, number of runs per week etc. When we design programs for individual runners we always ask what your current training consists of. We then plan a training program that will take you from your current training level to a higher level so that they are ready to compete in your chosen event. The critical thing in your success is the gradual progression from one level of training to the next. When runners try to take short cuts and push up distances too quickly the result is injury. Of course not everyone will make it to level 8 either by choice or by physical/genetic limitations. But that is Ok. You can still do really well by progressing over time to the highest level YOU can acheive. Yes it can take a number of years but Rome wasn't built in a day. Be patient and persavere.

What does getting a program involve?
Phone or face to face consultation to gather information needed to design your program eg current training, goals, time commitments, injuries etc.
Your program - a detailed week-by-week program including goal races or time trials, long runs, speed work, strength, technique, cross training and recovery. Distances, paces, heart rates are all specified where necessary.
Ongoing support via email/phone to keep you motivated and on track. If adjustments need to be made to your program because of unexpected changes eg. Revised goal, injury etc. this will be done as part of the service
